Final Fantasy VII
WEAPON
In Final Fantasy VII, when Cloud gives Sephiroth the Black Materia,
WEAPON's are awakened. Saphire, Diamond, Ruby, Emerald, and Ultimate WEAPON begin to reak havok across the planet. Saphire
WEAPON is destroyed by the Junnon Cannon. Diamond WEAPON is a forced fight to progress the story, as is the first fight with
Ultimate
WEAPON. The other encounters with Ultimate WEAPON, as well as the fights with Ruby and Emerald WEAPON are purely optional.

SAPPHIRE WEAPON
Saphire WEAPON is the only weapon you cannot, and
do not fight. This aquatic WEAPON crashes into Junon, and begins attacking
the city. This attack allows Tifa to escape her cell. He is then destroyed by a blast from the Junon Cannon.

ULTIMATE WEAPON
ULTIMATE WEAPON IS FIRST FOUGHT, WHEN YOU RETURN
TO CHECK UP ON CLOUD IN MIDEEL. IN THIS ENCOUNTER, YOUR PRIORITY IS TO JUST
SURVIVE THE BATTLE. WEAPON HAS AN ARRAY OF STRONG ATTACKS, AND MAGIC, THAT CAN EASILY WIPE THE PARTY OF 1500 HIT POINTS.
WHAT I WOULD DO IS HAVE THE FIRST CHARACTER CAST BIG GUARD, AND THE SECOND CAST REGEN. THE LET LOOSE ON ULTIMATE WEAPON.
YOUR LIMIT BREAKS WILL FILL RATHER FAST, SO USE THEM WHEN THEY BECOME AVAILABLE. HAVE ANYONE READY TO CURE THE PARTY, IF THEIR
HP GET TOO LOW. ANY OF WEAPONS ATTACKS CAN EASILY KILL A MEMBER WITH LOW HP. AFTER A FEW THOUSAND HP ARE TORN FROM WEAPON,
HE WILL FLY AWAY. THIS IS NOT THE LAST TIME YOU WILL SEE HIM.
AFTER YOU DEFEAT DIAMOND WEAPON, ULTIMATE WEAPON WILL APPEAR AGAIN OVER A CRATER BY JUNON. TO INITIATE THE FIGHT, RAM
INTO HIM.
THE BASIC STRATEGY IS THE SAME FOR EACH FIGHT WITH ULTIMATE WEAPON. SET YOURSELF UP WITH BIG GUARD, AND REGEN. JUST FOCUS
ON ATTACKING WEAPON, AND KEEPING YOUR PARTY HEALED. AFTER ANOTHER FEW THOUSAND HP DAMAGE, WEAPON WILL FLY OFF AGAIN.
YOU NOW NEED TO CHASE WEAPON AROUND, UNTIL HE STOPS AGAIN. HE WILL STOP AT EITHER N. CRATER, NIBELHEIM, MIDEEL, MIDGAR,
(IF HE IS OVER MIDGAR, AND YOU ARE AT THE POINT WHERE YOU INFILTRATE MIDGAR, DO NOT ENGAGE WEAPON. WHEN YOU FLY OVER MIDGAR,
YOU ARE AUTOMATTICALLY TAKEN INTO MIDGAR.) AND COSMO CANYON. IF YOU CATCH UP TO WEAPON, WHILE HE IS FLYING, TRY TO RAM INTO
HIM. THIS WILL CAUSE HIM TO FIND A SPOT FASTER. WHENEVER HE STOPS, JUST FLY INTO HIM, AND REPEAT THE FIGHTING.
WHEN HE HAS TAKEN ALL HE CAN TAKE, HE WILL HEAD FOR COSMO CANYON. THIS WILL BE THE FINAL FIGHT WITH HIM. WHEN YOU GO INTO
COMBAT, MAKE SURE THE CHARACTER MAKING THE FINAL BLOW HAS ALL OF YOU ENEMY SKILLS IN THE LEFT MOST SLOTS OF YOUR WEAPONS AND
ARMOR. BEFORE ULTIMATE WEAPON DIES, HE WILL CAST SHADOW FLARE ON THE LAST ATTACKER. THIS WILL ALLOW YOU TO GET ONE OF THE
MOST POWERFUL ENEMY SKILLS IN THE GAME, AT ONE TIME! WITH ULTIMATE WEAPON GONE, CLOUD WILL RECEIVE HIS ULTIMATE WEAPON: ULTIMA
WEAPON, AND A WAY INTO THE ANCIENT FOREST IS MADE AVAILABLE.
*NOTE* IN EACH FIGHT WITH WEAPON, TRY TO STEAL FROM HIM. HE HAS A CURSED RING, CIRCLET, AND REFLECT RING.

DIAMOND WEAPON
WHEN YOU RETURN TO THE HIGHWIND, AFTER VISITING
THE ANCIENT CITY ON DISK TWO, DIAMOND WEAPON WILL EMMERGE, AND HEAD FRO MIDGAR.
YOU NEED TO STOP IT, BEFORE IT DESTROYS THE CITY.
DIAMOND WEAPON CAN BE DIFFICULT, BUT IF YOU ARE READY, IT SHOULD NOT BE ANYTHING YOU CAN'T HANDLE. TO BEGIN, CAST BIG
GUARD, AND REGEN. DIAMOND IS VIRTUALLY IMMUNE TO PHYSICAL ATTACKS, SO MAGIC IS THE WAY TO GO HERE... UNLESS YOU ARE TRYING
TO STEAL THE RISING SUN FROM IT. COMET, AND ULTIMA ARE GREAT, BUT NOTHING BEATS KNIGHTS OF THE ROUND. TWO SHOTS OF THIS, AND
DIAMOND IS DUST. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE KOTR, THEN JUST KEEP USING YOUR STRONGEST MAGIC, AND HAVE AT LEAST ONE CHARACTER FOCUS
ON KEEPING EVERYONE HEALTHY. WHEN YOU DRAIN ENOUGH HP FROM DIAMOND WEAPON, IT'S CHEST PLATE WILL OPEN, AND A COUNTDOWN WILL
ENSUE. IT IS PREPARING IT'S DIAMOND FLASH ATTACK. THIS WILL DO AROUND 2000-3000 PTS DAMAGE, AND CAST MUTE ON ONE CHARACTER.
YOU WILL HAVE THREE ROUNDS BEFORE THE ATTACK IS FIRED TO TRY TO DESTROY WEAPON. IF YOU FAIL, THE COUNTDOWN WILL REPEAT UNTIL
YOU DO. WHEN YOU CAUSE SUFFICIANT DAMAGE, THE SCENE WILL SHIFT TO MIDGAR, WHERE THEY FIRE THE SISTER RAY AT THE WEAPON. WEAPON
IN RETURN FIRES AT MIDGAR. BOTH WEAPON, AND THE PRESIDENT ARE DESTROYED IN THE FIRING EXCHANGE.

EMERALD WEAPON
EMERALD WEAPON IS ONE OF THE OPTIONAL WEAPONS IN
FINAL FANTASY AMERICAN VERSION. IT IS INSANELY TOUGH, IF YOU ARE NOT PREPARED
FOR IT. BUT AT THE SAME TIME, IT CAN BE A SINCH.THIS STRATEGY IS THE WAY I BEAT EMERALD WEAPON. THIS IS WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
UNDERWATER MATERIA- ELLIMINATES THE 20 MINUTES IN THE FIGHT. THIS IS AQUIRED BY GOING TO THE UNDERWATER REACTER HALLWAY,
AND MORPHING A GHOST SHIP INTO A GUIDE BOOK. GIVE THIS TO THE GUY IN KALM TOWN, AND HE WILL GIVE YOU THE UNDERWATER MATERA.

THIS IS HOW I HAVE IT SET UP.
IN THE CONFIG MENU, I HAVE THE COMMAND SET TO MEMORY, THIS WAY EVERYONE IS IMMEDIATELY SET TO MIME AFTER THE FIRST ROUND.
REMEMBER THOUGH, DURRING THE SECOND ROUND, CLOUD WILL TRY TO SUMMON AGAIN. MAKE SURE TO MIME THERE. ALSO AVOID MASTER COMMAND
MATERIA. IT JUST ADDS TOO MANY COMMANDS, AND CAN SLOW YOUR COMMANDS DOWN.
CLOUD-KOTR, MASTERED MAGIC +,PRE-EMPITIVE, MIME, AND UNDERWATER MATERIA.
TIFA- MIME, MASTERED MAGIC +
CID- MIME, MASTERED MAGIC +
ADD HP +, UNTIL YOU ARE AT 9999 HP. THE REST OF THE SLOTS ARE FILLED WITH THINGS I NEED TO MASTER OR LEVEL UP. I EQUIP
CLOUD WITH APOCALYPSE APx3, TIFA WITH KAISER KNUCKLE APx1, AND CID WITH SCIMITAR APx3. EACH IS WEARING A WIZARD BRACELET.
WHEN EVERYTHING IS READY, HEAD UNDERWATER, AND GET READY
IF EVERYTHING GOES WELL, CLOUD SHOULD STRIKE BEFORE EMERALD GETS A CHANCE TO DO ANYTHING. HAVE HIM CAST KOTR W-SUMMON.
IF THERE IS A TIME WHERE YOU GET TO THE NEXT COMMAND BEFORE THE SUMMON SEQUENCE IS OVER, GET MIME READY. THIS MEANS EXICUTE
THE COMMAND, SO THAT THERE IS A RED X OVER THE FINGER ICON. FOR SOME REASON THIS SEEMS TO KEEP EMERALD FROM ATTACKING. JUST
HAVE EVERYONE MIME THE ATTACK UNTIL HE FALLS. WHEN I DID IT THIS WAY, AND WAS GIVEN THE OPROTUNITY TO ATTACK FIRST, EMERALD
WEAPON NEVER GOT A SHOT IN. IF I DIDN'T ATTACK FIRST, THAT WAS WHEN HE GOT A SHOT IN. AND IT WAS NOTHING TO KILL ME WITH.

RUBY WEAPON
RUBY WEAPON CAN BE FOUND POPPING ITS HEAD OUT OF
THE SAND AROUND GOLD SAUCER, AFTER YOU DEFEAT ULTIMATE WEAPON. TO INNITIATE
THE BATTLE, SIMPLY RAM INTO IT WITH THE HIGHWIND, OR RUN INTO IT WITH A GOLD CHOCOBO.
BELIEVE IT OR NOT, RUBY WEAPON CAN BE THE MORE DIFFICULT OF THE TWO OPTIONAL WEAPONS. HE HAS EXTREMELY POWERFUL MAGIC,
AND HIS TENTICLES CAN DRAIN HP, MP, AND CAUSE ALL THE STATUS EFFECTS IN THE BOOK. IF YOU GO IN WITH THREE CHARACTERS, HE WILL
CAST QUICKSAND TWICE. THIS WILL RANDOMLY TAKE TWO PARTY MEMBERS OUT OF THE FIGHT. THIS FIGHT ALONE TOOK ME LITTERALLY TWO
YEARS TO WIN. THIS IS HOW I FINALLY DID IT....
FIRST OFF, PICK A CHARACTER TO FIGHT, (I WENT WITH
CLOUD) AND KILL THE OTHER TWO OFF. THAT'S RIGHT, KILL 'EM!
NOW THAT THAT IS DONE, THIS IS WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

AFTER THAT, I FILL THE REST OF MY SLOTS WITH MATERIA NEEDED TO LEVEL UP. IF YOU DO NOT ALREADY HAVE SHADOW FLARE, AND
YOU HAVE THE ROOM, PLACE YOUR ENEMY SKILL MATERIAS IN THE FRONT SLOTS.
NOW FOR THE FIGHT
-STRATEGY-
WHEN YOU ENTER COMBAT WITH RUBY, HE SHOULD ALMOST ALWAYS IMMEDIATELY BURRY HIS HANDS, SINCE THERE IS NO ONE TO TAKE OUT
OF THE FIGHT. WHEN HE DOES, CAST EITHER HASTE, OR BIG GUARD, AND THEN HIT HIS TENTACLES WITH YOUR OMNI-SLASH. THIS WILL CAUSE
RUBY TO RETRACT THEM. HE WILL THEN SWING AT YOU 3-4 TIMES. WHEN HE DOES, USE AN ELIXER, AND THEN CONTINUE MIMING ELIXERS.
WHEN HE BURRIES HIS HANDS AGAIN, HE WILL BEGIN USING MAGIC. NOW IT IS SIMPLY A WAITING GAME. EVERY ROUND, MIME AN ELIXER.
AFTER AROUND 20 MINUTES, YOU WILL SEE THE FAMILIAR "RUBY WEAPONS SKILL IS USED UP", AT THE TOP OF THE SCREEN. NOW
YOU ARE FREE TO CAST ANY SPELL YOU WISH. HIT THE TORSO ONLY WITH KOTR, WITH SUMMON. IF THERE IS NO RETALLIATION FROM HIS RUBY
RAY, THEN MIME IT. IF YOU GET HIT, SIMPLY USE AN ELIXER, AND WHEN THE OPROTUNITY COMES HIT HIM AGAIN WITH KOTR AND W-SUMMON.
WITHOUT MP, RUBY CANNOT RETALLIATE WITH ULTIMA WHEN YOU DO. IF YOU DRAIN YOUR KOTR, CHANGE OVER TO BAHAMUT ZERO, AND QUAD
MAGIC. AFTER A FEW ROUNDS OF KOTR, AND BAHAMUT, RUBY WEAPON WILL FALL.

THE
KALM TRAVELER
ON YOUR FIRST VISIT TO KALM, YOU MAY HAVE VENTURED
INTO THE RIGHT MOST HOUSE IN TOWN. HERE ON THE TOP FLOOR, YOU WILL MEET
A MAN WHO IS PERFECTLY CONTENT WITH THE WORLD.
HOWEVER, ONCE METEOR IS SUMMONED, HE BECOMES UPSET WITH THE WORLD, AND WANTS TO EMBARK ON A JOURNEY. HE IS LOOKING
FOR THREE ITEMS TO TAKE WITH HIM.
A MAP THAT WAS SUNK ALONG WITH A SHIP.....GUIDEBOOK
A ROSE THAT BLOOMS ONCE EVERY 1000 YEARS IN THE DESRT...DESERT ROSE
A HARP THAT SOOTHS THOSE WHO HEAR IT...EARTH HARP

GUIDE BOOK- THIS IS THE HARDEST ONE OF THE THREE
TO GET. IT IS NOT JUST LYING AROUND WAITING FOR YOU. YOU NEED TO FINAD AN
ENEMY CALLED GHOST SHIP. (RIGHT) HE IS FOUND IN THE GLASS TUNNEL OF THE UNDERWATER REACTOR. YOU WILL NEED TO MORPH HIM INTO
A GUIDE BOOK. BE CAREFUL THOUGH, AS HE HAS THE ABILITY TO KNOCK YOUR PART MEMBERS OUT OF THE FIGHT. IF HE KNOCKS OUT THE ONE
MORPHING HIM, JUST KILL HIM, AND TRY AGAIN. ONCE YOU GET THE GUIDE BOOK, TAKE IT TO THE KALM TRAVELER, AND HE WILL REWARD
YOU WITH THE UNDERWATER MATERIA. THIS TAKES THE TIMER OUT OF THE EMERALD WEAPON FIGHT.
EARTH HARP- THIS IS THE PRISE YOU RECEIVE FOR DEFEATING
EMERALD WEAPON (ABOVE). TAKE THIS BACK TO THE KALM TRAVELER, AND HE
WILL REWARD YOU WITH A FULL SET OF MASTER MATERIA. THIS IS THE BEST OF THE PRISES YOU GET FROM THE KALM TRAVELER.
DESERT ROSE- THIS IS YOUR PRISE FOR DEFEATING RUBY
WEAPON (ABOVE). WHEN YOU TAKE THIS TO THE KALM TRAVELER, HE WILL GIVE YOU
A GOLD CHOCOBO. SINCE YOU MOST LIKELY USED KNIGHTS OF THE ROUND IN THE RUBY WEAPON FIGHT, YOU MAY ALREADY HAVE A GOLD CHOCOBO.
THIS ONE IS BY NO MEANS BETTER (IT IS WORSE) THAN THE ONE YOU BRED YOURSELF. SO YOU MAY ACTUALLY CHOOSE TO GET RID OF IT.
IF YOU KEEP IT, FEED AND RACE IT, AND BREED IT WITH YOUR GOLD CHOCOBO ( IF YOU CAN)
