Limit Breaks
Final Fantasy VII's are vastly improved from VI. When you are hit with anything that causes damage (outside of a confused character) your "Limit Gauge" will fill. When it fills completely, you can then perform a limit break. The limit you can use is determined by what limit level you are on, and whether or not you can use the second limit of that level. To gain limit levels, your characters need to defeat a certain number of enemies. The average number is between 60-70, though the true number varies between characters. To gain the second limit in the level, you need to use the first one 7 times. These are extremely powerful actions, and should be leveled up as soon as possible. A good spot for early limit increases is the forest by Junon on disk 1.
