Red XIII Don't let the fangs and fur fool you, Red XIII's intelligence is beyond that of any human. Nothing is known about Red's history, only that Hojo is using him for one of his twisted experiments.

Although a main party member of the original, through Final Fantasy VII Remake Red XIII is a guest party member. You will have him fighting beside you on numerous occasions, but you will not be able to control him. You cannot access him in the menu, set armor or materia, nor can you set a limit break. He is strictly along for the ride at this time. It is kind of fine, since really he has no strong area inside of Shinra HQ. You get very little time with him, before you leave the city. Hopefully he becomes a permanent member in the next release.
