Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Characters

Cloud Strife

Cloud has become a delivery boy of sorts. He takes any type of package to any destination he can go. This was his way of keeping his promise of living out his and Zach's lives. For a while, it seemed his life was good, with Tifa, and the orphans. Now with the Geostigma infecting him, plus his consuming guilt of the past, he delves further into solitude...afraid he might do something unforgivable to another person he loves.

Tifa Lockheart

Tifa now lives with Cloud, Denzel, and Marlene in the city of Edge. She re-opened her bar "Seventh Heaven, and for a time, it felt like they would become a family. However, with Cloud struggling to forgive himself for the past, and his lengthier stays away from home, she feels her dream of a family might be destroyed by his inability to let go of the past.

Marlene Wallace

Marlene lives with Cloud, Tifa, and Denzel, while Barret scours the world for a new power source. She helps take care of Denzel, whom she has become close friends with.

Denzel

Denzel came to live with Cloud and Tifa some time ago. Recently he got infected with Geostigma, and has been suffering from it. His close friend Marlene is always by his side, doing everything she can to help him. He has looked to Cloud and Tifa as parents, since his family was taken in Meteor Fall.

Kadaj

Kadaj emerged from the Northern Crater with Yazoo, and Loz. The undisputed leader of the group, his teenage-like rages, fueled with his extreme intelligence make him a deadly force. He will stop at nothing to find "Mother", and bring about the next Reunion.

Yazoo

Yazoo is the quiet one of the three who left the Northern Crater. He uses a Gun-Blade for a weapon, and strikes fast and hard. He is reserved for the most part, never getting too upset, or angry. He just wants to find his mother, and bring about the Reunion.

Loz

Loz is more of the emotional one. He is seen more than one time crying for no real reason. But do not let this fool you, he is still one strong foe, and uses his electrically charged weapon to do serious damage. He is just as bent on the Reunion as his brothers, but seems like he is more of a grunt, rather than an equal. His cell phone ringer is the same as the main series theme for winning battles.

Sephiroth

Through Kadaj, and Jenova, Sephiroth is reborn. He and Cloud will face each other in a final showdown. Throughout the fight, he tells Cloud of his mad intentions, and tries to harness control over him again. But Cloud has found new strength, and with a updated version of his Omni-Slash, he sends Sephiroth back to the Lifestream.

Rufus Shinra

Believed to be dead at the hands of WEAPON, Cloud is surprised to see that Rufus survived. The former president launched an investigation into the Northern Crater, and was ambushed by Kadaj. He now seeks to hire Cloud to be a "Body Guard". It is not clear what the presidents intentions are, but it would seem that his honesty is still less than perfect.

Reno, Rude, Tseng, and Elana

Even with Shinra in ruin, the Turks still function. They headed the investigation into the Northern Crater, only to be ambushed by Kadaj. Reno and Rude managed to escape with Jenova's head, but it seems that Tseng, and Elana were not so fortunate. Though Rufas seems to have a hidden agenda, these guys are right there fighting for what is right.

Aerith Gainsborough

Aerith has been gone for 2 years. She sees Clouds anguish, and wants him to forgive himself. She never blamed him for allowing her to die. She was glad to see him come for her. She is seen for the first time, at the end of the movie, when Cloud is assisting the children with their Geostigma. She and his friend Zach are seen leaving. Now that Cloud has forgiven himself, they can all rest easier.

Vincent Valentine

Vincent has been spending his time, trying to find answers to his own past, when he comes across Tseng and Elana at the Forgotten City. He brings them back to health, and then finds Cloud there in trouble as well. He ends up helping the crew again, rather than continue his quest for answers. That quest is another story.

Barret Wallace

Barret has been scouring the globe looking for an alternative power source for the planet. He informs Cloud that he has discovered a mass amount of oil, and should be home to see Marlene soon. He arrives just in time, to help his friends fight the threat of Kadaj, and his summon of Bahamut.

Cid Highwind

After Meteor Fall, Cid returned to Rocket Town, where he married his one love Shera. The two then built another airship, he lovingly called Shera. When he heard of the battle being fought in Edge City, he wasted no time in getting there to help out.

Cait Sith

Reeve, hearing of the fighting in Edge, and being unable to leave the WRO, has sent his mechanical cat in his stead. Definitely not as good as if Reeve were there in person, but his assistant get the job done.

Yuffie Kisaragi

Yuffie has been spending the last two years trying to bring Wutai back to its original glory. She has left the path of a thief, and has come to work on her skills as a Ninja of her people. She immediately comes to the aid of the others, when she hears of the danger in Edge.

Red XIII

Red XIII returned to Cosmo Canyon, where he became the new elder in his grandfathers place. He now spends his time teaching people of the planet, lifestream, and the events of Meteor Fall. He hopes to make people see how close they were to losing their world, and to do what they can for their planet. When Kadaj and his gang come out, he joins in the fight to save the world once again.

Zack Fair

Zack has also been gone for 2 years now, and Cloud has still got some guilt for his friend passing. He wanted Cloud to move on, as Cloud promised he would do. In the end, he sees that Cloud has forgiven himself, and now is able to move on with his life.

Bahamut

The lord of the dragons appears in the fight in Edge, when Kadaj summons him. He is one of the most powerful summons in the planet, being able to destroy entire towns. His Mega-Flare is used to sear the city of Edge, and everyone in it. If not for Cloud and everyone fighting, Edge would have surely met its end.
