Final Fantasy Sprite comparison

With the advent of Final Fantasy 20th Anniversary on the PSP, there has now been a total of 4 different releases of Final Fantasy, and three releases of Final Fantasy II in America. Some people have never seen the original which appeared in America in 1990. Though it still remains in 2-D style, the graphical updates on each title are outstanding. Here is a show of the sprite update from the Wind Fiend Tiamat.

As you can see, the graphical update for these titles has been nothing if not beautiful for the PSP release. I only hope it gets remade one more time in full 3-D, as our next two sections have.
In 2006, Final Fantasy III finally saw its debut in America on the Nintendo DS. It was given a full 3-D remake, and it was truely an amazing experience. With the success of III, Square decided to make another title. For their 20th anniversary, they announced the 3-D remake of Final Fantasy IV. Below is the sprite comparisons of two enemies found in each title.
