With this downloadable content, you will be given a set of gifts in shop. There is a gift for each of the possible characters in Dragon Age Origins, as well as two gifts that can be for anyone. These are super quick ways to boost a characters disposition. Also there is a good chance of the gifts reappearing. at this time I have not figured out how I did it though. Anyways, On with the gifts!
Each of the separate gifts for your companions comes with a significant boost of +50 to their approval. The great thing is, they cost no money at all!
Each of the gifts can also be used via the radial menu. Dog will go fetch his stick, Alistair will play with his dolls, and Morrigan will take great thrills in stabbing her voodoo doll of Alistair. Some will have effects on characters if they are also in the party at the time of use. For instance, using the Alistair doll with Alistair in the party, one of the following injuries will occur:
Mindless Rage: Alistair glares at Morrigan. Penalty to cunning, bonus to dexterity.
Unscratchable Itch: Alistair clenches his teeth and seems unable to focus. Penalty to dexterity.
Strangely Stimulated: Alistair's face has gone beet red. Penalty to willpower, bonus to constitution.
Burning Sensation: Alistair squirms uncomfortably. Penalty to dexterity.
Two Left Feet: Alistair is suddenly very clumsy. Penalty to dexterity.
Suddenly Wet: Alistair groans and mutters something under his breath. Penalty to magic.
Of course not all the gifts come with such a wide range of fun stuff, but it is definitely worth just going through them once to see what happens!

Stick |

This sturdy stick is well-weighted for throwing. |
|
Grey Warden Hand Puppet |
Alistair |
This tin-helmeted puppet is painted with the blue-and-grey heraldy of the Grey Wardens. |
|
Alistair Doll |
Morrigan |
This little doll, fashioned from rags and stuck with pins, is eerily reminiscent of Alistair. |
|
Qunari Prayers for the Dead |
Sten |
The words are in a strange spidery script, but the fine etchings demonstrate a clear respect for the departed. |
|
Pet Rock |
Shale |
Someone has painted a pair of eyes and a goofy smile on this rock. |
|
Fat Lute |
Lelianna |
A favorite of traveling bards, the fat-bodied lute is a sturdy instrument with rich tone and a melodious sound. |

Rare Antivan Brandy |
Zevran |
Pulling the stopper from the bottle reveals hints of exotic passion fruit. The alcohol content is low by local standards--"just enough to keep the conversation flowing," as the Antivans say. |
|
Amulet of Memories |
Wynne |
The simple patterns along this locket's outer edge are worn smooth, and a dark patina clouds the glass. |
|
Beard Flask |
Oghrin |
Fashioned from nug stomach, this fascinating dwarven device is like a loose-fitting muzzle that sits beneath the beard and keeps the drinker's alcohol accessible even after he loses feeling in his arms. |
|
King Maric's Shield |
Loghain |
Two dogs rampant mark this shield for the house of Theirin. It bears scars from many battles. |
Outside of the individual gifts you can get for your companions, there are also two new gifts that can go to anyone. These help greatly when you just need a little nudge up the Approval ranking ladder. Both cost 150.
The Thoughtful gift will net a +10, while the Sugar Cake provides a +5. This also does not decrease after each gift. It is set for these approvals only. Not too bad huh?
